Toddling Along

He’s almost 1 and still working on walking. It could be another month or it could be another 5 months, but he’s trying to get to stepping.

Status Snapshots

So one of my ideas was to record my Facebook statuses (with corrections, a tough grammar day) as a way to review my day.

Today:
“Managed a grocery store run with kids – whohoo! Thankful for those free balloons.”

“my classes this semester suck! so disorganized.” (I had awesome wonders of organization this past summer. I’m missing it with my current classes.)

“having a terrible time putting words together today.”

That’s one way to reflect on today. Noah was non-stop chatter box today. So many questions, the same ones over and over again. It’s all good, just overwhelming now and then. Still mulling over how I will define my urban-ness.

Happy 5770!

The High Holidays are wrapping up tonight. We ended a little early because, well, we were starving and we wanted to keep the kids on the schedule. It was a different experience for us this year with a new and different congregation. We adjusted to the differences, and it will take time for this to be our new home.

I am trying to define what this new space will be for me. The past journalings were a hodge podge of unfocused memories and experiences I wanted to share or remember. I’ve done away with my hand journaling. So this is it now. This is were I get to ramble and think, but still with some hesitation because I want to be PC and family oriented. But I’ll not lie, I still cuss like a sailor in my head, thou little in front of the kids. I rather they picked up their potty mouths from some where else.

This new site will be an exploration because I’m not quite sure what it can do. So bear with me and I test things out.

I’m hoping to have more focus in my writing. A plan of some sorts. I work better with structure. I just need to create it. I’m giving myself the next week to hash it out. Ideally, I’d like to post everyday. Realistically, I’m not sure how.

Welcome to our new village so to speak! It’s small, but growing. Also, in the spirit of Yom Kippur, I ask you to forgive me if I have done you any harm or offended you in anyway. I’m going to try to do better this year. Particularly on my ability to get angry over stupid stuff, like Kyle forgetting his cell phone. It happens. Going to try to take some deep breaths and try to get less annoyed.
