I decided recently to give Target diapers a trial for the tot. I’ve been a Pampers buyer since the first kiddo. I wanted to give Target diapers a chance because they are considerably cheaper.
This past week with Target diapers I have noticed that are slightly bulkier and occasionally leak at night. Pampers leaked every now and then too, so I don’t hold this against the diapers.
One other thing that was strange this week is that Baby E keeps saying “poo-poo.” We check, nothing’s shaking in the diaper. And he continues to have this similar conversation a few minutes later.
Five days later, I put it all together when he woke up one morning with a full diaper, started walking, and said “poo-poo.” The thicker Target diaper is confusing the guy, making him believe he has done the number 2 tango. Ahhhh! Slow mommy.
Instead of trying to figure out how many diaper brands there are and going through more trial and error than I would like, I thought I’d ask others about their diaper preferences for kiddos (plus Day 25 of the Problogger Challenge is to ask a question. I’m doing my homework too. : ) ) Plus the best advice I usually get is from other parents.
What are your favorite diapers for your kids?
p.s. No one is paying me to do this. I am just a consumer interested in seeking quality products while saving money.

We used the Kirkland brand diapers from Costco and LOVED them. We used Pampers first, then Huggles and finally settled on Kirkland. But If you don’t have Costco, our next favorite was Huggies. Their nighttime diapers are worth the money. No leaks…ever for us.
My son is 10 now, but when he was a baby I LOVED Huggies. As they were a little expensive, I mostly used CVS brand unless Huggies were on sale. CVS brand worked VERY well.
I did not know that CVS did diapers! Thanks for stopping by and sharing!
I don’t have a Costco membership. But maybe I can wrangle someone who does to let me try those ones out. Thanks for stopping by Janice! I appreciate your help.
My son is now thirteen, so I’m not up on current diapering technology. I found that Depends and duct tape worked particularly well.
I’m over from the challenge. All the best!
Mine are Nature Babycare biodegradable diapers, ordered online in bulk via Amazon’s Subscribe & Save, with free shipping.
HTH!
Nice Vahnee! I would love to find some eco-friendly diapers. Thanks for stopping by!
I’ve been cloth diapering since my girlie was about 7 mos old but before then we used huggies…that being said she had a yeast infection pretty much the entire time until we switched to cloth so I’m not sure I’d recommend them.
stopping by from fmc, happy weekend!
We were Pampers buyers too but finances a year ago dictated we cut our costs and we switched to the Target brand and we loved them! In fact, I had fewer blowouts and leaks with them plus the price was great. Meant I could buy more baby clothes ;o)
We tried Huggies diapers and hated them, but their Pullups are waaaaay better than the diapers. E might be close to potty training anyway, so maybe that’s why the diaper is confusing him? Bills is now 2.5 and we’re working on finishing our last package of diapers and using pullups exclusively and slowly moving to big girl panties. Hope you find a happy medium soon!
