Fridayfragments

(Hosted by Mrs. 4444)

*I finished the first round of Thanksgiving shopping. I say first because I probably forgot something. I hope some store is open that day, just in case.

*Book Fair night was not like the book fairs of my childhood. First of all, it was at Barnes and Noble. Second there was a clown named Honey Dew who made balloons animals and painted faces. And overall, it was pretty chaotic with the crafts and the story times, and the kids playing sword fights with their balloons. Wow.

*Planning to watch W. to support my American Wife reading.

*I almost bought Sarah Palin’s Going Rogue at Walmart. I had read it was 9 bucks. That was not true, so I did not buy it. I’m intrigued and Oprah helped influence my decision. If she’ll read it, then maybe I should too. I should be well rounded – poltically (and physically).

*WTF Oprah!!!! I still want to go to your show. I hope getting your own network will still mean I can come visit you sometime.

*Reading a book with my iPhone Kindle app. It is going pretty well. It’s a book I’ve already read (The Lovely Bones). One thing I really like is being able to read in bed without having to mess with a book light. I seem to struggle often with getting the light to attach to the book, and then it’s flopping in my face or not pointing the right way. I would be willing to try a real Kindle.

*I think I may be tiring of Chic Fil A. I always thought I was a die hard fan. There are so many Chic-Fil-A’s here, it’s too easy. I was eating almost every week when we moved here. It’s too available.

*Noah asked, “Why did you make that face?” when he walked into the kitchen after having used the potty. He had taken all his clothes off to pee just cuz. That’s why I made that face.

*This next weeks is going to busy. Hoping my house will get cleaned some how, the food will all work itself out, and everyone will be happy and stuffed.

Noah wanted to push Eli's swing. Some times he's sweet to his little bro.

I will check Going Rogue out at the library because it will be a train wreck in print. Can’t wait.

I watched W. It was actually pretty good.

I have the Oprah w/ Palin dvr’d but haven’t had a chance to watch yet (too busy blogging and dealing w/ kids). I am also sad she’s quitting in 2011. I think Palin is also on 20/20 tonight, or one of those Friday night news shows?

We only have one Chic-Fil-A here and I don’t go often (try to behave), but it’s sooo good! I love the waffle fries and chicken sammies. Drool.

On Oprah…

Rumor has it that she is going to continue to produce her show on her own network, meaning she really wont’ be “retiring” in 2011 like she said on air today. I work at a TV affiliate that carries her show, and that’s what we were told today at work!

Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest Day! (I probably messed up the wording on that! LOL) I love this post. It’s genius actually. Great way to share and update people on what’s going on lately. I still haven’t found a way to do that so thanks for the idea. Your kiddos are adorable!

I love this photo. It is sweet brotherly love. Noah will treasured it in the future.

I only have the ‘first round’ of Thanksgiving shopping done, too…because I DID forget some stuff! :) Since I do quite a few ‘make ahead’ things on Wednesday to limit the time spent in the kitchen on Thursday, I’ll have to make sure I do my ’second round’ by Tuesday. Wanna bet I’ll still forget something? ;)

I would love to get a Kindle, too – I have issues with the book lights and give up trying to read in bed. Wonder if that means I’ll get less sleep if I can conveniently read in the dark? ;)

I recently found out we have a Chic Fil A here…I haven’t tried them out yet! :)

The picture of your boys is adorable!

Happy FF! :)

I loved The Lovely Bones. I wish I could afford a Kindle!

“Planning to watch W. to support my American Wife reading.” ??
